I just turned 29 and it inspired me to make a list of things I want to do from September 6th 2018 to September 5th 2019.
I’ve never been one for a bucket list, or having such huge goals and wishes, but maybe it’s time to change that.
Take a Vacation
The last vacation I took was in my junior year of high school. It was with my parents, it was to Washington D.C, and it was terrible. Both my parents snore and I’m an only child so I got stuck sleeping in the same room as them.
Since becoming a “real adult” so to speak, I haven’t taken a vacation for myself. Mainly because I don’t have the money to do so. But I think it’s time for me to do something for myself. Even if it’s for a few days and it’s in state.

Keep This Blog Going Strong
Even if this blog only stays as a hobby and doesn’t move into the realm of making money, I want to keep this blog up and running and make it more a part of my life. I’ve been terrible with this even since I started my first blog.
I want to be able to keep posts coming regularly, interact with people more, maybe hop back on social media for a bit. I want to make some blogging friends. (If you wanna be friends let me know! lol)

Re-Read the Harry Potter Series
This hits home a lot. The HP series was my escape as a child. I re-read the first four books so many times before the fifth came out that I basically had everything memorized. It was my escape from the verbal and emotion abuse, bullying and all that fun stuff that comes with being the “weird kid”.
I’m actually scared to pick these up again. I guess I’m afraid all of those things I was running from as a kid will trigger back in my mind. I’ve been avoiding them for years, but I think it’s time to face my fears.

Be Comfortable with Myself
I feel like everyone is striving for this in one way or another. I want to be comfortable with my body. I’ve gained weight after starting my office job almost 5 years ago. Sitting around for 8 hours a day will do that. Especially when it tires you out and you have no desire to hit the gym.
I’ve been working on my makeup and clothing style recently and I’m working on eating better to lose weight. So I’m about halfway there (*insert Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi*).
I was originally going to put “Start Investing” but because I discovered the Stash Invest App, I’ve started investing a little bit at a time. And when I say a little, I mean I started with $5.
The app offers regular investing and retirement plans. If your job doesn’t offer a 401K or you don’t qualify, I think this is a great way to start saving for years down the road.
What do you guys think of my goals? What goals do you have for this year? What goals have you accomplished? Have any tips or advice for me?
